Located in St Martin, the Jersey Accommodation and Activity Centre (JAAC) is in a prime position in a countryside setting with views stretching to the coast. Offering both hostel accommodation and a campsite, the JAAC caters for all group types including families and schools plus stag and hen parties. As one of only two hostels on the island, the JAAC is also a great base for solo travellers looking for budget-friendly accommodation and an interactive community. The JAAC provides a vast selection of things to do for all ages to enjoy with adventurous activities and competitive sports on site and further across Jersey. This one stop shop for accommodation and activity is Jersey’s leading destination for an adventure holiday on the island.

Hostel Accommodation at Jersey Accommodation and Activity Centre
The island’s leading hostel accommodation can be found on site at the Jersey Accommodation and Activity Centre. The hostel offers a variety of room types with multi-occupancy dormitories and en-suite private units. The majority of accommodation is dormitories of 4, 6, 8 and 10 beds. The dormitories are perfect for groups travelling together with varying sizes accommodating groups large and small. Meanwhile, twin and double private rooms are available and all come with an en-suite. The private rooms offer a basic, hotel-style experience at a fraction of the price.
The hostel also offers incredible communal facilities throughout. Designed for social interaction, there is no WiFi or televisions available in any of the rooms. However, both WiFi and televisions are available in the social areas. Both a social lounge and a multi-purpose meeting room are available for use and can be pre-booked for private use free of charge. There is also an on-site games room featuring a pool table, table football and board games as well as plenty of seating for socialising.
Camping at Jersey Accommodation and Activity Centre
Nestled behind the centre, Bay View Camping Field offers an alternative accommodation option at Jersey Accommodation and Activity Centre. Positioned on the cliff top overlooking the Royal Bay of Grouville, Bay View Camping Field offers the traditional camping experience with tons of space in the vast field. The JAAC does not hire out or provide any camping equipment, all tents and equipment required must be self-provided. The camping field features a modern facilities block that has been recently upgraded. The camping experience at Bay View is all about getting back to basics and at present, electric hook ups are not available. The basic amenities on site provide guests with an immersion into the authentic camping experience. The Bay View Camping Field is the most budget-friendly tent-based campsite on the island with no extra hidden charges and even dogs can stay for free.
Dining at Jersey Accommodation and Activity Centre
The Jersey Accommodation and Activity Centre is proud to boast an exceptional 5* Excellent ‘Eat Safe’ rated kitchen.
For hostel guests, a daily continental breakfast is included in your room rate. For an additional charge, hot breakfasts including waffles and full English breakfasts are available but must be pre-booked at least 24 hours in advance.
Lunch and dinner can be catered for at an additional cost and if pre-arranged. Packed lunches, bbqs and two-course hot lunches are available for lunch whilst for dinner, two course, three course or bbq meals can be accommodated.
For weddings, events and large groups, bespoke catering can be tailored to your needs.
In response to COVID-19, the JAAC opened Bella’s Cafe, an alfresco cafe serving home-cooked food for residents staying at JAAC. What was meant to be a temporary measure received a great response and the JAAC is currently applying for permits to serve non-guests with the view to re-open shortly. The cafe has been celebrated for its excellent menu including breakfast, Sunday roast dinners and many claiming the pizza at Bella’s Cafe is the best in Jersey.

Archery
After introduction and familiarisation, it’s time for target practice as you try your hand at a spot of archery. (Aged 8+)
Bush Craft
Immerse yourself in two hours of wilderness survival skills including navigation, fire lighting and plant foraging. (Aged 10+)
Field Sports
The JAAC offers a wide range of complimentary field activities with equipment available from reception. Field sports include badminton, croquet, boules, volleyball and football.
Mini Zip-Wire
An exciting activity available exclusively to younger children who may be too young for other activities. (Ages 6-10)

A supervised treasure hunt taking your group to Mont Orgueil Castle and the Royal Bay of Grouville.

Escape Elizabeth Castle Day
This exciting activity excursion for groups of up to 50, the Escape Elizabeth Castle Day is based at Jersey’s iconic 16th century castle. Journey to the castle which is cut off from the mainland by the tide twice a day and participate in abseiling, archery, team building challenges and a self-guided photo quiz.
St Brelade’s Bay Activity Day
For groups of up to 50 participants, get involved in a thrilling beach day with kayaking, stand up paddle boarding, inflatable rides and beach games.
St Catherine’s Activity Day
A perfect blend of land and water based activities based off the breakwater at St Catherines, up to 30 participants can join in with kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, abseiling and bush craft.
The team at Jersey Accommodation and Activity Centre can also assist with organised third party activities, heritage trips and local visits.
Weddings and Private Functions at Jersey Accommodation and Activity Centre
With a private field of 3600m², the Jersey Accommodation and Activity Centre is a great venue for a large event or wedding. Over the years, the JAAC has hosted charity fundraisers, craft fairs, club events, dog agility shows and numerous weddings. The field can be hired for both single and multi-day use providing you with exclusive access to the entire field. The centre and accommodation can also be privately hired for indoor events and group accommodation. The premises also holds a liquor licence for private functions and events. For the perfect rural wedding, the JAAC has a Weekend Wedding Exclusive package to hire out the entire facility and grounds. The JAAC’s on-site Chef is well experienced with catering for weddings and corporate events and the venue also works closely with Vibert Marquees.
