Following the war, Somerville Hotel was worse for wear and began a reconstruction into the Somerville Hotel of today. During the renovation, war memorabilia was found throughout the property including old cigarette packets and other items used by German soldiers. In 1985, the four-star hotel became part of Dolan Hotels, Jersey’s longest-established hotel group with beautiful hotels in both St Aubin’s Bay and St Brelade’s Bay.
