St Martin is in the north-east of Jersey and features plenty of traditional farm architecture and has a large farming community. It was originally called ‘St Martin le Vieux’ and the area of Faldouet used to have a dialect of its own – Faldouais, which is not extinct however.
St Martin Other Points of Interest

There is a variety of things to see in St Martin. St Catherine is home to the Breakwater, a sheltering arm for moored vessels extending over 640 metres into the sea, and the famous Mont Orgueil Castle in Gorey which used to be the island prison.

The Rock (also known as Le Saut Geffroy, or Geoffroy’s Leap) is preserved by the national trust for Jersey and offers fantastic cliff top views, whilst between St Catherine and Rozel Bay you’ll find three small but delightful coves – Fliquet, La Coupe and Saie Harbour.
